Lets me see. Many things to catch everyone up on, so here we go!
Aiden celebrated his 5th birthday in April. He had a Phineas and Ferb themed party and invited all of his friends. (Jimmy, Janya, Joon, Ellie, Brayden, Brison, Sam, Aubrey,Paxton, Austin, Kallie, Talon, Gavin and Olyvia). I think the kids had a blast! They played in the backyard for about 10 minutes waiting for everyone to arrive. They had to write their name and decorate a bag for their loot in which they would later take home. There were a few different maned stations. Since Phineas and Ferb are adventurous and enjoy using their imagination and inventing things that is what we did! The stations were: make your own slime and choose your own color, make your own playdoh with your favorite color, molocule fun: using mini marshmellows and toothpicks they created their own designs, magnifying station-different items were laid out and each child was given a magnifying glass to look at the items, sand art in which they filled an item, magnet station 1:they had to find certain items in the sand only by using magnets, magnets 2: boat races, make your own snow. After the stations we played pin the hat on Agent P aka Perry the Platapus. This was followed by a pinata and a diet soda rocket set off with mentos. The kids later enjoyed Dr. Doofensmirf's ice cream sundanator ice cream bar. They got to choose their own toppings. The party was a hit!
On May 9th 2011 Aiden lost his first tooth. We had steak that night, and later that night the four off us went out shopping. Aiden looked at me, and I said hey look at me again. In a high pitched voice I said, "what, when did that happen"? Of course he had no idea what I was talking about. Todd ran over to see if everything was ok, and asked what was going on? I had Aiden smile and both Todd and lost it. When did you lose your tooth buddy? I think Aiden was shocked, because he had no idea. Long story short, he lost his tooth. Actually he probably swallowed it while eating dinner. Aiden's main concern: well, if my tooth is missing, how will the tooth fairy no I lost my tooth? We ended up writing her a note. She must have found the note, because the next morning a most excited boy woke up to a golden dollar next to his head!
In June Aiden graduated from Pre-K. He attended Stand By Me since he was 2 years old. The school had the younger kids come out and sing about how much they will miss the older kids. Then the pre-K kids came out said the pledge, and sang a few songs. Then they showed what they new. They each wore a cute puple paper hat with a yellow string tassel. When their teacher Ms. Kim said his name, he ran up to her, jumped up, and gave her a big hug! There was a slideshow and of course cake.
