End of Summer 07'

Well unfortunately Summer is winding down, sad but true. Aiden still keeps busy though talking on his cell phone with family and friends. He must be over his minutes by now! We went to Pawtuckaway where he loves to let loose. He enjoys playing in the sand and destroying other people's castles, walking on the hiking trails with a walking stick and of course playing in the water.

During rainy days he nestles up on the couch to watch his favorite TV program Backyardagains, 64 Zoo Lane and Wonder Pets all on Noggin. Currently he continues to be a picky eater, but if he likes something lookout. He officially ate an entire hot dog the other day. What a pig! He also enjoys green beans and corn on the cob.

Before bed he brushes his teeth with his new Thomas the Train toothbrush that plays music. He giggles the entire time and cannot brush long enough. Next time I write he will have probably started daycare again.

Aiden's Trip to Lincoln NH 2007

The three of us stayed in Lincoln NH for 4 days. We travelled the Kangamangus Highway, went in for a quick dip at one of the pools along the river (Lower Falls), we hiked the Flume, hiked Glenn Ellis Falls, saw Mt Washington, Todd went on the zip line at Wildcat Mt and we met up with our friends at Echo Lake State Park. What an amazing view of Cannon Mt and Franconia Notch. Aiden had a wonderful time.

2006-2007 Summer Review

Better late than never, but as always we are playing catch up with technology. I'm pretty impressed with myself for never doing this before. Last summer was Aiden's first summer in which we attempted and survived many adventurous activites. Some would even say stupid.

  1. We took him camping a few times and even almost got eaten by a bear. No kidding!
  2. We took him hiking and saw beautiful waterfalls in NH.
  3. More imporantly we introduced him to our pool. I think I still have the claw marks..

The Oljey Family

Well here I am again talking about my family that I am so wild over. I'm Val, mother of Aiden who I absolutely adore. I finally got Todd (my husband) to move to NH 3 years ago and a little over 1 1/2 ago out sprang Aiden (aka. Little Man). Having a child is a lot more work than I realized, but it also has so many positive qualitivies about it also. Aiden changes every week and it is so cool to see. As an elementary school counselor I am well aware of all the developmental milestones that he should reach and when. I work with kids on a daily basis, but this is dedicated to my favorite Little Man, Aiden.
